Hi all,
I need to choose a core switch module for connecting remote switches to my core. The remote switches are 3560s and I've
aquired LX SFPs (GLC-LH-SM=) for them. My core switch is a 4507. The distance is roughly 1 KM. I've looked it up and I think
I need a WS-X4448-GB-LX module.
Thanx in advance.

Hello
I think You can use LX/LH. The cabling specifications says 10 Km, but it depends on the dampening on the total lenght of the fibre. SM fibre
has a dampening aprox. 0.3 dB/km and a fibrepatch aprox 0.5 dB. We use LX/LH converters on 20 Km with a total dampening 6-8 dB on the total length without problems.
