CRC Errors

Most of our servers that are connected to a Cisco 3548 Switch are seeing extreme amounts of CRC errors, but I am not seeing any errors on the interfaces or uplink interfaces of this switch. Installed a new switch and moved some of the servers to this switch and the problem was fixed. All connections on NIC's and Swicth are set to 100 FULL.

I don't understand why I didn't see these CRC errors on the old switch. Any Ideas!!

With full duplex operation the possibillity exists for data moving in one direction to contain errors and the reply data is fine ? This could explain why you were not seeing errors on the switch but on the servers.

The problem may have been resolved by new physical connections into the new switch ?
