Determining latency of C3550 switches

Can anyone tell me how I would go about working out the latency of two C3550-12G and four C3550-24 switches accross a dual fibre ring. Each switch has two G5484 connections, one to each fibre ring.

You can configure portfast inorder to deal with latency issues in cisco 3550 switches.

This very dependent on the load of the routing engine and backplane switching load of the machines, you will need very specific and expensive equipment to measure this kind of details.

And if it would be easily possible what would you do with this info ?
