I know that dribble bit error is the error caused by a "slightly long packet". Questions are :

1. Is it enough to define a dribble bit error ?

2. What are the causes for such errors ?

3. Any good write up on this ?

Thanks,

Nadeem

This could point to a problem where the InterPacket Gap (IPG) is too small or non-existent such that 2 frames join together. The IPG is the fixed time gap between Ethernet Frames. This is set at 9.6 microseconds. This frame will still be processed.
