Duplicate MAC Address on Cat4006 L3 Card - Gig3.x & 4.x sub I/faces

We have configured our Cat4006 L3 Card to use HSRP (across 2 L3 switches) and have configured the interfaces on the L3 Card on GigEthernet3 & 4 using sub-interfaces. Works ok but the sub interfaces have the same MAC address as the main Gig Interface. Hence we are getting duplicate MAC address errors.

Is there a Global / Main Interface / or sub interface command that will make each sub-interface have a unique mac address ?

You can check the following link for HSRP redundancy with unique mac address for each VLAN.

Well we found the problem. The error mesages were due to the Device having the same MAC address on all Sub interfaces in the L3 Card - but it was our management system which obviously had different IP address settings for the interfaces in the database & hence the MAC address info didn't match up & was compared to another interface (as all sub-interfaces show the same mac address) - the device needed to be re-synced with the management database & the errors stopped.

Easiest way was to delete & recreate/discover the device.
