Hi,

i have problem with loading cisco IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin.from flash. it's just show c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin : no such device and then it boot old IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.122-55.SE11.bin from flash. 

What can i do to boot IOS correctly.

You can't boot image not stored on flash or broken/incomplete. Reload the image to flash. Make sure you have correct and undamaged file.

Console into the appliance and reboot.  I want to see the entire boot-up sequence, particularly the error message(s) being displayed. 

Can you also specify the exact model of the switch.

Based on the boot log it seems that system is trying to boot "c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin" but without knowing the full path to image.

This is causing that bootloader cannot find image and going to find next available IOS in flash.

After you can see that this image has prefix: flash:/

Root cause - Wrong command entered:

    boot system c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin

Solution:

    boot system flash:/c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE9.bin

Hi,

Would you guys be able to help me?

I got almost same ios file that I tried to update and also the same I use the command "boot system" instead of boot system flash command.

Now my issue is after issuing the command and reload the old ios file did not load and I believe it also got corrupted too. and I have been trying for hours now can't seem to load this image file and getting this output below.

I presume the "upgrade" means copying the BIN file into the switch?  There's nothing wrong with it but in this case, the switch can't load it because the file has the incorrect filename and extension.  I recommend using the more versatile "archive download-sw" command to upgrade the IOS (make sure to use the TAR file).

Yes i copied BIN file from my ftp server to flash into switch. It has right file name, just it is showing wrong in the show flash: .I will try thanks.
