Failed Login attempts CW!!

How can I get a report generated for FAiled login attempts in the daily syslog and an alert generated

Are you using external authentication source like TACACS+ for CW login?. If so, then it should have the reports for failed logins etc

no i am not using ACS server, is ther any other way that i can get the failed logins on the CW syslog.

Are you referring to failed logis to the devices or the CW server itself?. From the previous note, it looks like you want the failed login for CW server itself. If so, then you need some kind of external authentication source to get this info.

hi all,

On Cisco IOS by configuring

username < sdfasdfg> password

line vty 0 4

login local

if i make changes on the router via telnet , it logs on the CW for any changes made by user.

i am looking for similar kind of configuration if possible on the 6509 switches.
