Fast Switching

I just upgraded one of our 7206 routers from 12.2(18)S to 12.2(25)S and Fast Switching is now disabled. I tried the command “ip route-cache” on the interface but Fast Switching is disabled when you do “show ip int” command. Fast Switching was enabled on 12.2(18)S. I have another router to upgrade but I'm not going to upgrade it until I get this problem figured out. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

ip route-cache

This command was integrated into Cisco IOS Release 12.2(25)S, fast switching was removed, the policy and same-interface keywords were removed, and output of the show running configuration command was modified so that the ip route-cache flow command as well as the ip flow ingress command will appear when either command is configured.
