Does anyone happen to know if Cisco offers hands-on clases on their latest network gear?
thanks

It depends. Which gear are you interested in?
If you don't have a whole week to spend at a Cisco training class, you might also want to check with your local Cisco office. They usually have some new equipment there to demo for customers, and to give the engineers something to play with in the lab.
You can arrange to have one of their engineers give you a "guided tour" through the features. This gets you some hands-on with it and gives them practice in presenting the product. If you're interested in testing whether a certain configuration will work, you can go over it with them and work through it as a lab exercise.

Thnaks for your response - sorry I was not very specific. I am looking to learn more about Catalyst switches operations, such as STP's, VLAN's etc. The class that Cisco offers, ICND, does cover some of it, however no hads-on offered. May be I am looking more for a lab than the actual class.
Thanks.

If you are lucky enough to have your company give you the money and the time off, I say go for the class.
Look at ACCS(6500 training) with GlobalKnowledge. They are not great, they are kind of like the McDonald's of training. They do everything, they do it often, and they are convenient. There doesn't seem to be any other source of readily available information for Catalyst 6500 - so I will probably be taking this class this year also.
