I have logged into the MSFC of 6509, and want to login to the SUP engine. I don't know the IP of SUP. Is there any way I can get the info from MSFC so that I can login to SUP or is there any command on MSFC like session <mod number> which we use to login to MSFC from SUP.

Hi Sourabh,
Are you running your switch in HYBRID mode is yes can you give a try with "sh cdp nei det" command as I remember that we can see the sup from MSFC via CDP on Hybrid mode.
Try that and update if that works.

Ankur

Hi,
There is no entry for any device when i do sh cdp nei on MSFC.
I have checked that CDP is running on switch.

Sure its not a native box ???? If it was a hybrid it "would" show in cdp even if the fields were blank. See if you can do a show mod command and post . Also a show version might help.
