IOS crashed

The IOS of 2620XM has been crashed. I have provided another IOS via xmodem -r command. The router copied the IOS and decompressed it. I can run all the IOS command but whenever I put the RELOAD command , it goes to the rommon mode again. what should i do?

From the console:

conf t

config-register 0x2102

wr memory

reload

Hi!

From your console first see your sh verison. The command will have below Line.

Configuration register is 0x102 If sets, 0x2102 , there is no problem, you can reload your router and it will work properly. If it has 0x2142 or some other values, pl. change the value as per above post. That will solve your problem. Hope you aware , y we are setting config-register as 0x142.

Hi

When u do xmodem -r it will save the ios temporarily in DRAM and when u reload or it reloads after the download is over u r ios wont be available ...

And as other posters suggested try cheking ur register values too ..
