Will IPM allow me to monitor the different types of traffic in my network? I am fully IPT at my core and branch sites. I also have mission critical Video traffic going to my branch sites. Can IPM distinguish between my Voice, Video, and Data traffic?

IPM does not monitor your traffic per se. Instead, IPM injects synthetic traffic into the network using the SAA agent on the router. IPM will measure this injected traffic and will report on it. You can set it up so that the injected traffic will have similar characteristics (QoS, protocol, and such) as the traffic you are interested in.

Ok. That is fine. That will accomplish what I need it to do. I just need to periodically see where the bottlenecks in my network are. So I will be able to distinguish between protocols and also, can IPM send me an e-mail if the bandwidth on a link is being overwhelmed?
