MTU on 1710 router with PPPOE

I have a number of satellite locations connecting via L2TP VPN to a central router in a hub and spoke config. The spoke routers are 1710's connecting via PPPOE to Verizon DSL. Users are using XP Pro units to connect directly to the router, with no other proxies or firewalls. My most recently connected location is having issues where they are unable to get a reliable connection to an intranet web app -- not all fields appear consistently. This doesn't occur at other sites with a similar hw/sw config. I suspected MTUs as being a problem, so I dropped the MTU size down to 1460 on the workstations, but to a lesser degree the problem continues.

I suspect something on the router config may still be an issue. The only config file difference is an "ip mtu adjust" command in the vpdn-group which I suspect is related to a documented bug which prevents doing a 'no' command on it. The problem router version is 12.2(4)YA2. The MTU on the Dialer interface has been set to 1492.

Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Try adding command "ip tcp adjust-mss 1452" under the eth interface of the dsl cisco router.

Pl. visit following link for more on that
