I am configuring IP Sla on a Cisco 1700 series router with the commands below but I'm not able to add the Track keyword to the static route command-line
rtr 6
type echo protocol ipIcmpEcho 172.27.0.254 source-ipaddr 172.27.0.6
timeout 3000
frequency 900
exit
!
rtr schedule 6 life forever start-time now
!
track 6 rtr 6 reachability
exit
!
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.27.0.254 ????????(not able to add track 6)

Hi,
take a look here and you'll see the first IOS image where this feature was introduced ( 12.3 and further) and that it is not supported on IPBase on 1700 routers.

Sorry I did not get back to this site in time. I was working on upgrading the IOS; however I have been having
memory challenges so I decided to come back here.
