No routes in routing table

We have many 6506s and 6509s in our network. We have the Sup 2 supervisor module running IOS c6sup22-pk2sv-mz.121-20.E3. On more than one ocassion, we are seeing no routes in the routing table. Our config is basic with ip addresses on GigE interfaces and static routes. We also run OSPF, but that isn't an issue at this time.

Has anyone else experienced this? I couldn't find a bug ID or any info posted on Doing a "sh ip route" gives only the codes.

Doing a "sh ip route x.x.x.x" displays "% subnet not in table" when the route is a directly connected interface. Nothing brings back the routes, not even a reload. Any info is appreciated.

Are your Vlan interfaces on the MSFC up and running ?

Haven't checked. I will need to drive to site to verify.

Will a VLAN established with an ip address advertise that route if none of the VLAN interfaces are in use?

Here's a piece of the config:

interface GigabitEthernet1/2

switchport access vlan 17

spanning-tree portfast

interface Vlan17

ip address

ip helper-address

ip directed-broadcast

Gig1/2 is configured, but is not currently hooked up. All interfaces are tied to VLANs and the VLANs are not physically connected yet. The default route should still be in the table.

I made a mistake in my original post. Interfaces are not configured with ip addresses. They are tied to a VLAN. I wasn't looking at a live config and thought I set up interface IPs. Sorry for the confusion.

Once the physical connectivity is properly ensured, you should have all the vlans and routes properly listed, unless you have a wrong network statement in OSPF...

do a show int vlan 1 to verify the status on the MSFC.
