have you tried adding external DNS servers to your DHCP pool?

dhcpd dns []

Thanks for your reply, I have added external dns, I have added my ISP's dns servers and no joy. But I have noticed that if I use the external dns servers on my hosts then I can get wwww. But I have an internal dns which I want my hosts to use and only query the root servers on the internet if and when required.

How do I make the pix not reqiure me to use external dns on my hosts??

Thanks

Tony

if your internal dns is on the same subnet as your dhcp scope, you caould point the dhcpd at the internal dns server instead of an external one. And if your DNS server is set up properly it will query a root dns server when it does not find an entry internally.

HOpe that helps
