router 1720 help.

i lost the control of my cisco router 1720, i tried a password recovery but i entred the false register value, when i rebooted the router i had this:

and know i can do nothing, ctrl break does'nt work,

Hi,

Looks to me like you've got one of the options wrong with your terminal software. I'd check the speed it's running at to confirm it's correct - generally it should be 9600-8-none-1.

I've seen some switches that are capable of changing to higher rates to allow recovery via the console (ie downloading a new image via the console). I'd try 19200 as the speed and see what you get.

You may end up having to upload a new config. To do that though, just bear in mind that if you boot into rommon that you need to initialise the flash before you can read or write to it..
