HI
I have found that on a 3662 with 3 NM-16 modem banks that at random the router resets the line config ( I think ) to its default values and they are shown in the running config. This happens to three of the modem banks the other one does not have a problem.
This often makes users disconnect after the change has happend.
I have copied the running before and after the change :
before=
line 129 144
exec-timeout 0 0
no flush-at-activation
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure type microcom_mimic
terminal-type vt100
transport input all
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
flowcontrol hardware
line 161 176
exec-timeout 0 0
no flush-at-activation
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure type microcom_mimic
terminal-type vt100
transport input all
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
flowcontrol hardware
After=
line 129 144
exec-timeout 0 0
timeout login response 0
no flush-at-activation
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure type microcom_mimic
terminal-type vt100
data-character-bits 8
exec-character-bits 8
special-character-bits 8
length 0
width 0
no history
no editing
transport preferred none
transport input all

no ip tcp input-coalesce-threshold
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp

lat out-group all disabled
flowcontrol hardware
line 161 176
exec-timeout 0 0
no flush-at-activation
modem InOut
modem autoconfigure type microcom_mimic
terminal-type vt100

flowcontrol hardware
I would be glad if someone could give me clue as to what could be happening.
Thanks alot.

This appears similar to CSCdx16671 which is un-reproducable but reported in a few cases.
What IOS image do you have on the c3660?
Thanks, Mak.

Please upgrade to the latest 12.3 IOS image (depending on the memory onboard).
Thanks, Mak.
