Showing jumbo frames mtu size

I have enabled jumbo frames on an entire vlan in my 6509, yet when I perform the "show vlan" command it displays the mtu size of 1500.

If I go into session 15 and perform the "show int vlan 10" command it shows the mtu size of 9216. Why dosen't it show the larger mtu size when you do the "show vlan" command?

With "show vlan" , the mtu size is cosmetic and is configured manually by the 'set vlan' command. The mtu size associated with the 'show vlan' has no effect on the operation baby-giants or jumbo frames.
