Hi everyone!

I tried to do an upgrade of IOS in a Cat 4507R but it didn’t worked.

This is what I did:

1. Load the new IOS Version into the 4507R

2. Configure the following command “boot system bootflash:cat4000-xyz.bin”

3. Reload the 4507R

It didn’t worked, It came up with the IOS version that the box came with.

Does anybody now what I did wrong?

Thanks!

Just changing boot command should do it. But change the config-register to 0x2102 as well

The boot command needs to be “boot system flash bootflash:cat4000-xyz.bin”.

Thanks Prkrishn!

I also noticed that the configuration register is 0x2101.

Do I need to change it to 0x2102? Or just changing the boot command with work?

Thanks again!
