Vlan traffic not passing on 35xx series

We have a problem sometimes with our 35xx switches not passing traffic for a vlan.

Our core/distribution layer is a 6509 which is the vtp server for a about 60 vlans. This fibers out to our access layer 35xx switches. Ocassionally, we will power on a switch and it will not pass traffic for a particular vlan even though a show vlan indicates it is there and assigned to the specific port. Most of our switches are running 12.0(5.4)WC1 although we have a few on 5.1 and 5.3 code. It does not seem to be IOS dependent.

Thanks.

What kind of trunking do you use? If it's dot1q, take a look at the following bug

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCdw48310

This bug was marked unreproducible. If you are seeing this issue all the time, I suggest that you open a TAC case and provide the engineer with relevant info. Also is there any specific VLAN which is affected?
