why we are giving the ip address for the vlan1.

vlan 1 is management vlan.
after assigning ip address to vlan 1, you can access device using this IP.

Hello Aejaz,
VLAN1 is basically used for management purposes. You give it an IP address in order to be able to reach the device through TELNET or SSH. On Layer 2 devices (switches), in order to be able to access the device remotely, you need to assign an IP address, and this is done usually on VLAN 1. However, you can use any VLAN for the same purpose.
