VTP Version 3 - IOS

I see VTP Version 3 is available in the CATOS for the 6500 line. Does anyone have info of when this will be available for the IOS in the 6500? I tried searching for this feature in the Bug Toolkit with no luck. I'm not sure where to find this information.

I also am interested in this important feature. I do not want to run CatOS on a soon-to-arrive pair of 6500s just for VTP v3.

I agree. I need to begin using vlans IDs above 1025 in some locations. I will no longer be able to use vtp and vtp pruning for these vlans. I cannot believe v3 is not supported in IOS yet. Maybe vtp v3 is not being adopted as was expected. But, it's kind of hard to adopt a new standard if only two devices in your core will support it!

I also agree. I'm offering 802.1Q trunks at customers and want to protect our vtp domain. Version 3 has the ability to disable vtp on a per-port basis.

Can't wait for VTP v3 for IOS !!
