Hi,
I had my VWIC-2MFT-E1 Card working perfectly on my 2811 router up until last month when I discontinued the E1 service.
I just tried dropping and E1 line on the card today but the card was inactive.
After several hours of troubleshooting and making no headway, i decided to post the issue here maybe someone can tell me what the problem is.
So far, I have swopped the card in all the 4 HWIC slots (always powering down the router before removing or fitting the card) but no luck.
Below is the show diag result I get:

Contact the TAC to have the faulty card replaced. That requires a support contract.

Hi Paolo,
Thanks for your comments.
Are you confirming that the card is faulty? Unfortunately, I dont have a support contract on that card any more.
Do you think I can replace it with an HWIC-2CE1T1-PRI card I have in store?
The function of the VWIC card was to create a VoIP trunk between my callmanager express running on a 2811 router and another IP PBX, more like a SIP trunk. Do you think the HWIC card will work in the same way?
Regards,
Femi

You can buy a support contract at any time.
As replied in another post: For VoIP trunking, no interface card is necessary.
