What are the consequences of clearing arp cache?

Hello,

What would the immediate result be if I would issue a clear arp-cache on my 3600 Router?

Would the existing LAN connections be disrupted or will local connectivity continue without hiccups?

Existing connections will continue, its just that when a packet arrives and the ip-to-mac table (arp table) is interigated for the interface to forward the packet out the process will have to wait while an arp is done to locate the destination.
