I want to configure the AUI interface, but not sure what command it is?? Is the AUI interface ASYNC, BVI, CTUNNEL, NULL, VIF interface???
Is it : interface ASYNC

AFAIK u need to mention the media type command under Ethernet interface to make use of AUI or normal
10baset.

Are you talking about AUX port or AUI as in ethernet ports found in some of the older 2500 routers ? AUX is a async port and it is usually used for remote dialup into a router for modems. It can also be used for dial out using modems. The AUI is a db-15 connector usually found in 2500 routers. You require a transceiver which converts from DB-15 to RJ-45 to use a regular Cat5 cable with it. Which one are you looking for ?

Thanks Shanky, I've a Cisco1605R that has 1WAN interface, and two LAN interface. One LAN interface is the AUI port, that I will connect with a transceiver. What command do I access the AUI port in this case? interface AUI..??
