I have a cisco 800 router and I getting the message "44: 01:04:32: %IP-4-ZERO_ADDR: Zero MAC address for 10.9.135.1 in ARP cache". Does anyone know what this means? When I check the ARP table, the ethernet interface of the router displays a MAC of 000000000000.

Cisco advice (by the errror msg decoder) is the contact technical support.
Maybe the hardware gone bad...

I have seen this problem with a corrupted mac address on a chip. This is most likely a hardware problem.
