Hi All,

am trying to upload a .bin file to a Catalyst1900C using minicom. Anyone here had any experience with minicom on Linux.? I keep getting an error message,

Diagnostic Console - Systems Engineering

Operation firmware version: 0.00 Status: Invalid

Boot firmware version: 1.10

WARNING!!! Operation Firmware is invalid.

Upgrade firmware to enable switch operation.

[U] Upgrade operation firmware (XMODEM)

[S] System Debug Interface

Enter Selection: U

The XMODEM protocol will be used to perform this firmware upgrade.

The user must initiate an XMODEM file transfer from the terminal

side using an appropriate terminal application specific command.

Do you wish to continue with the download process, [Y]es or [N]o? Yes

Erasing invalid flash - may take up to 1 minute.

Erasure completed.

Do you wish to upgrade at [9]600 (console speed) or [5]7600? 9600

Waiting for image at the configured baud rate... ....................

System Upgrade failed.

Diagnostic Console baud rate is 9600.

I must admit, I've never tried this b4 with minicom. I've successfully uploaded using TeraTermPro on Windows, but, really wish not to have to go down that track again...for obvious reasons. Any help appreciated. Cheers.

I guess you are trying to load a latest image for Entrprise version of the switch. Try loading the version 5.37. This shud notv have any problem.
