12.3.14T2 IOS with LPR printer

Under IOS 12.3.11T5 my LPR printers work when printing from a Workstation on my 192.168.4.0 network to a printserver on the 192.168.1.0 network. When I run IOS version 12.3.14T2 the print request does not respond. No errors are logged on the router. What might be the issue?

Run this test at the workstation when the router is running the 12.3.14T2 code: telnet printserver 515

Let me know if you get an established connection.

Please post the relevant parts of the IOS config here, scrubbing any sensitive info, and I or someone else can examine it to see if there are any issues.

If there are any firewalls involved, let us know.

I'll have to schedule another maintenace time to install the 12.3.14T2 IOS again. The router is running the IOS firewall, which allows TCP traffic through from any host on the 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.4.0 networks. There are several new Firewall commands available, but I did not see one that would prohibit LPR/port 515 traffic.

I get the following prompt when attempting the telnet connection:

Connecting To 192.168.1.3...Could not open a connection to host: Connect failed

When 12.3.11-T5 is loaded it connects properly. I've tried modifying the Inspect commands and allowing LPD through the firewall but nothing seems to make a difference.
