IDS 4.0 Documentation - ??

Is there going to be any comprehensive documentation released on version 4.0 of the IDS sensor?

The is no documentation on this new RDEP protocol or the architecture of the device. Quite honestly, the documentation is really shoddy for version 4.0.

I can't find documentation on IDIOM, which is an XML message format referenced in the Cisco IDS RDEP API document. Any help?

The IDIOM specification is still going through review and the final copy is not yet ready for posting.

You can try contacting your Cisco representative and requesting a draft copy of the specification.
