Hi,
We have NPE G1 and NPE G2 routers running as Provider Edge routers. I could be able to compare the features available in Cisco FN.
Would like to know what is the most suitable IOS for this platforms in Service Provider networks. I want on the basis of the widely used and stability perspective. Will SR release be a good choice?
thanks in advance.
Arun

Arunkumar,
The SR train is targeted to service providers or those that have the need for edge of the network type services (MPLS, Aggregation, etc). Here is some information that may help you in determining whether the SR train will be best for you:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6922/index.html
Also it may be helpful to use the IOS feature navigator to compare and contrast different IOS images:
http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp
This tool will allow you to look at features contained within a specific release, or compare two releases to determine features that are present (or absent) between the two releases.

Nick,
Thanks for your reply. Let me try evaluating SR image. I just wanted on the basis of IOS stability and widely deployed in other Service Providers.
thanks
