cannot call international

Hi all,

Please educate me with the following issue: we have CUCM and PSTN gateway, one user in remote office is trying to call international number but got message "call is restricted" so how should I investigate this issue ?

Hi @dvu000001,

Make sure that the user is in the correct Partition and Calling Search Space. Check if the Calling Search Space that the user is in has the correct permissions to call international.

Thank you for help. I checked all CSS of every remote office, they're allowed to calls international but this office's callers cannot. Please provide more info for investigation.

If the problem is happening just with one user I think you can compare the profiles of a user who can connect the call with that affected user.

Do you have any restriction based on time in that user's profile?

Can you show a picture of that user's profile?

Hi Martin,

Again thank you very much. Problem is resolved due to the misunderstanding of how digits should be dialed when making international calls. Anyway my last question is: how do I check in the log or command to see when these calls are dialed ? say someone dials an international number then it should show in some logs maybe ? time, date, called numbers and callers.

I'm glad to hear that and of course you can do what you want. You can use CDR in CUCM as your reporting tool and much more.
