We have Cisco Unified APs with WLC 8540 and CPI 3.1.5. WLC is forwarding traps to CPI.
Majority APs are mounted and will stay where they are for good. Some APs are temporary mounted for conferences, performances...and will be removed after few days.
Now, we are a bit confused with alarm message when AP is disaccociated from controller.
For example, we can see as Alarm Condition 'AP disassociated from controller", but for this same condition sometimes we have alarm message:
"AP name disassociated from controller", and sometimes we just have alarm message
"AP name disassociated".
I couldnt find in the Excel with CPI supported events and alarms this difference.
Maybe these two messages target the same thing, but NOC asked if (could be) CPI is sending the second one. After AP dissappears from WLC, it stays in CPI. Is there any timer in CPI that generates, when expired, alarm that says AP dissacotiated? That would be useful for NOC since it would mean AP was temporary mounter and removed.
