Has anyone else heard that Cisco is offering free IOS upgrades to 1200AP's for support of Airespace's wireless controller. Appears that the merger was to obtain some of the features which Airespace wireless controllers contained and merge with Cisco's current line of AP's. I know that the 1100 series isn't supported by WLSE and only with the wireless controllers with some limitations. This is only the beginning. I expect that the technology that Meru Networks has applied to their wireless solution will be coming shortly. (TDM for wireless voice)

I think they are going to use those features on Lightweight APs, not sure though!

From what I saw at Interop, they had code working that supported LWAPP running on a 1231 so it would run with the Airespace controllers. It appears that they will eventually release a version of IOS that will support the 1230 series running in either lightweight LWAPP or autonomous mode (normal.)
From what I've been hearing and seeing, I'd expect the Airespace functionality to continue expanding into Cisco's product line and the wireless products lean towards the controller-based solutions for the larger enterprise deployments.

Does anyone know what APs this newer IOS will run on?
I suspect that the newer 1230s and 1130s. I am hoping that it might run on some older access points also.
