A few questions about VSOM/Matrix

1.  Should the bit rate on the VSOM camera setup match the bit rate settings in the camera itself?

2.  Is there a possibility to use the joystick to control a camera on the matrix or is it controllable only on the VSOM operations screen?

3.  Is it possible to actually set the VSM Server time remotely other than actually remoting into the OS or physically going to the server?

Thank you for any input!!

1. Should the bit rate on the VSOM camera setup match the bit rate settings in the camera itself?

AR> The settings on the camera are over written by the VSM when that camera is configured in VSM. So there is no need of manual change of video settings on the camera.

2. Is there a possibility to use the joystick to control a camera on the matrix or is it controllable only on the VSOM operations screen?

AR> You cannot make any changes on a virtual matrix monitor on a client. It is a view only setup. Any changes to the view has to be done from the Operations Manager.

3. Is it possible to actually set the VSM Server time remotely other than actually remoting into the OS or physically going to the server?

AR> You can configure time manually or NTP by logging into the server remotely via SSH. Run the yast tool to configure time.

Hope this helps.

Aditya
