Hi,,,
I am working in a university and we have a demand to build a video surveillance system, I viewed all data sheets of Cisco cameras and I found that no of them have IR leds to be used in low light conditions.
The problem is that the system is required to operate in 0 light environments in sometimes and it should get clear videos for the environment.
I would like to ask if cisco has solutions for this scenario.
Another question, can I get electrical signal from the cisco IP camera that is enough to operate external IR lids or white light; and this electrical signal is generated once the light level in the environment decreased lower than a predefined threshold.
Thank you for help

Yes, the camera is completely PoE including the LED's
Actually, you may wish to check out Cisco's 6400 series bullet cameras. They *do* have integrated IR leds.

... also, pretty much all of Cisco's IP camera line provides support for digital IO lines that could be used to trigger any number of external devices, especially if properly engineered with the appropriate relays, etc.
Hope this helps,

thank u very much it was helpful
i think this is a new model cs it was not shown before
but do u think that it will be possible to power the external leds with the same PoE connection
best regards
