I want to upgrading my vsm from 7.5.0 to 7.6.0, I have uploaded 7.6.0 hotfix and Cisco_VSM-7.6.0-122i-rhel6.zip file on vsm, but when I click on upgrading option its hung-up and automatically deleted upgrading steps, could anyone reply/support me with vsm upgrade steps.

Advance Thanks,

Is the server reporting as 'healthy' via the 'Software Status' page in the VSMC console before you attempt to upgrade?

Also, the order of the upgrade packages are important and need to be applied one at a time.  The HotFix package needs to be applied *after* the standard 7.6.0 archive has been uploaded and installed.  If you have attempted to install more than one package at once, it will certainly fail.

Thanks all, finally I have successfully upgraded vsms server with 7.6.0. At first I was uploaded 7.6.0 to vsms from my pc then installed, once server come up I was uploaded hotfix package and installed.

After that my server able to joined with VSOM.

NOTE: The HotFix package needs to be applied *after* the standard 7.6.0 archive has been uploaded and installed.

Thanks for the update. Glad to know its upgraded well and working fine now.

Yes the procedure is correct what you mentioned their.

Hi Anwar,

Thanks for raising your concern here. As HotFix is the patch which need to installed after upgrading your server to 7.6 version. Installing both at a same time may fails. So currently let me know what is the hardware platform you are using for this server? Also what is the current server status. Is it showing "Critical" status?

Please feel free to open the TAC case with us, will help you over WebEx to upgrade your server completely and after that get the patch installed properly on the server.

Thanks,

Jayesh
