Integration between VSMS & SAN storage

Hi ,

I have a problem in connecting VSMS & SAN (EMC Clariion CX4 )

They are connected via fiber cable ( LC , multi-mode )

If I rebooted the VSMS server and the fiber cable connected , the server doesn't start again till the fiber cable is removed .

Can anyone help solving this problem ?

Can you please supply the following informaton so I can look into this for you?

• Model number of the server
• what cards do you have installed in the server and how many of each?  For example, how many FC cards, are there any analog encoder cards, etc.?
• Has this problem just started happening, or has it always happened ever since the server was installed?
• Were the card(s) installed in the server at the factory, or were they installed into the server in the field?
• What OS is running on the server and what version?
• What version of VSM is running on the server?

     1*FC card ( CIVS-FC-1P) ( no analog encoders )

      Suse Linux , 10 SP1

The card is supposed to be installed at the factory.  However, can you please send me the following file from your server:

/etc/sysconfig/kernel
