Problem in restoring backup in VSOM 4.2.1

Dear All ,

I have a problem in restoring the backup on VSOM 4.2.1 .

After I restored the backup  , camera feeds & archives are restored successfully .

but the views , camera groups , roles & users weren't restored .

any suggestion ?

Dear Yhya

There are 2 types of backup: VSMS and VSOM. VSMS backup contains configuration like camera feeds, motion events, archives etc.. while VSOM contains the DB for events, roles, views etc.. So, most probably you restored media server backup not VSOM.

I restored both ( VSMS & VSOM )

Did you log or document your VSOM restore attempt?  It really seems as though the VSOM restore operation did not
occur successfully.
