Upgrading CIVS-IPC 2500 Camera from v. 1.1.1

Guys,

        I have been trying to upgrade the camera from v 1.1.1 to latest v 2.6.1 and I am following the instruction listed out. I have installed upgrade utility but issuw I am haveing is brwosing the 1151-civs-ipc-2xxx-v2.1.6.bin.gz file which is in gz format. And that is the reason it is not coming on when I am browsing that from upgrade utility installed on my PC (Win XP).

Do I have to upgrade the camera from the server loaded with Suse Linux?

Hi Rahul,

Please try uploading the .bin file and not the .gz file.  

The .gz is a zipped format and the camera needs the .bin within it.

Also, make sure you are not  running Windows Firewall, and disable any antivirus or other  access blocking software on your PC client.   Both can contribute to cameras not being  seen by the upgrade utility.
