Need a router that can handle bandwidth management

hi,

I'm searching for a router (4 ports) that can handle bandwidth managment, e.g. if there are 4 devices connected (4 IPs), each of them will have access to 25% of bandwidth. If one of them disconnect then the 3 remaining will get access to 33% of total bandwidth (=bandwidth divided by 3 IPs). If a new one connects, individual bandwidth will be adjusted.

Does such a device exists?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the Cisco rv-series there is an option to set bandwidth management by port or IP group.  Also, you can use bandwidth management per outgoing protocol.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but it might do the job.

I already have a router with an option to set bandwidth by IP group, but I'd like bandwidth management by IP, I'm not an expert, I don't know if it exists, I don't even know if it's possible, but I don't want that ONE of the users can take all the bandwidth.

Hello, WhyMin9Char. The RV series routers already has bandwidth management options. However, I suggest looking at the Cisco 890 or 880 for an in depth bandwidth management (IOS based). Feel free to send me a message for additional concerns or if you need local Cisco support/quote. Kind regards.

Hi Sir, what kind of bandwidth management does the 890 support? All I can see is that the Bandwidth management for Cisco IOS is through rate limiting. Does the 890 support it?
