I have an RV042 firmware 4.1.1.01-sp with client vpns established. I have one end user that can connect every time with now issues whatsoever. I have other clients that can connect, but are often dropped. The first day they connected for up to 8 hours with now issue, since then they are lucky to connect and if they do are often dropped. Here is the latest logfile from that machine: (with my ip xxx'd out)

Hi Jack,

Usually the following log entry indicates that the ping reply from the router was blocked:

2012/11/27 10:12:47 [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router!

2012/11/27 10:12:48 [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router!

2012/11/27 10:12:49 [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router!

2012/11/27 10:12:50 [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router!

2012/11/27 10:12:51 [WARNING]Failed to ping remote VPN Router!

The last thing the client does is ping the LAN IP of the router. The router replies and something on the PC blocks that reply. Check the PC for third party firewall or antivirus software that would block a ping reply from a different subnet than it's own. Disable/uninstall any such software. Usually when this happens the router shows that the status of the client is "Connected". Is this the case?
