RV340 router WAN port speed

I previously had my RV340 router's WAN port connected to a Spectrum D3.1 eMTA modem at 1gb but have noticed that I'm now only seeing the WANs port speed connected at 100mb.  To isolate the issue I connected the Spectrum modem to a switch which is set to auto and it immediately connected at 1gb.  I'm not sure why auto port speed on the router is not connecting at 1gb, but wanted to know if I could somehow hard code the 1gb port speed.  Since the RV340 port speed options are only:

Auto Negotiation (Gigabit)
10Mbps Half
10Mbps Full
100Mbps Half
100Mbps Full

There is no way (in GUI) to hard code the WAN port to 1gb.  Is there a way to set this in the downloaded XML file and reupload it?

BTW, I'm running on version 1.0.03.29

as per i know RV Auto means try to negotiate to 1GB. (try changing different cable and check?)

I tried that already and no joy.  I used that same cable to connect to the switch and it worked fine connecting at 1gb.
