I'm using a Cisco WRT600N (1.01.36 build 4) and cannot figure out how to keep the DHCP server disabled. There's another DHCP server on my network, and the WRT600n messes things up all the time. Disabling the feature on the WRT600n, then rebooting keeps it off for at most a day or so, but then it re-enables itself while the GUI shows it as disabled.
This is unexpected behavior and should not happen with a mature firmware release.

Wrong forums but here goes.
the link below shows a simulator of the web gui.

Select Disable on the DHCP Server Settings, then select Save Settings.
no logon to your router and do the same.

Thanks for trying, but this is not the issue with this device. I wish it were that easy.

Sebastian,
Did this start right after a firmware update? Have you tried re-flashing the firmware or going back to an earlier release?
Best,
David

Steps taken: Removed from box, upgraded to latest firmware, deactivated DHCP, configured other options as necessary.
I can't find older firmware on the Cisco website. Thanks for the suggestions, but I think this issue needs engineering assistance, which Cisco may or may not provide. Product does not perform as designed.

Have you tried resetting the router to factory defaults?
Failing this there is always DD-WRT firmware available for this unit though don't think USB worked in early versions.

By default, the DHCP is always on. I am not sure how to bypass that since it's always configured to be on from the get-go. My only option is to disable DHCP after a factory reset, which causes the problems I've described.
Thanks for the suggestions. I don't really want to use a 3rd-party OS, but appreciate the recommendation.

Sebastian,
You can find the firmware here:
http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/WRT600N/
Click on downloads, then choose the hardware version from the dropdown/
Best,
David
