I have a Cisco Small Business WRVS4400N router that is behind my ISP supplied gateway. I recently changed the configuration around to put the ISP suppleid modem into "Transparent Bridge" mode, and allowed the WRVS4400N to handle the conenction. Which is does fine. My problem is that every time it looses power, I have to log back into it, and re enter the password for the PPPoE crediantials. It retains the Username, but not the password. This is quite annoying, as we have had several power outages here lately...
My question is, is this normal behavior? If it is, why? If it isn't, how do I correct it?
Thanks,
John

Hello John,
On the newer code of firmware it has that behavior were for some reason it will blank out the password information. If you were to back-up your configuration and open it up in a note bad you should come across your password you've used for the PPPoE information. I wouldn't be alarmed if you see the password blank in the PPPoE field.
Hope that helps,
Thanks,

Clayton, Thanks for the reply.
I am not so concerned about it Not being visable as I am with it NOT BEING THERE, as in won't reconnect after a power failure, and I have to log in to enter it.
Is there a way to correct that?
John
