Hi community,
we have a funny thing on a ISR4331
xxx#ping ipv6 www.cisco.com
% Unrecognized host or address, or protocol not running.

% Connection aborted
xxx#ping www.cisco.com
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 104.97.66.117, timeout is 2 seconds:

Hi! I have the same problem, were you able to fix it?
I tried globally disabling IPv6 with the no ipv6 unicast-routing command, also changed name servers, tried with different hostnames. Asides from telnet it also seems to affect the http client from IP SLA which I use regularly also. Any ideas?
Best regards,
Esteban

I was having the same issue with telnet. I added /ipv4 to the end of the end of the command and it worked fine.
router>tel cisco.com
Trying 0d.0b0d.0b0d.0b0d.0b0d.0b0d ...
% Connection aborted
router>tel cisco.com /ipv4
Trying cisco.com (72.163.4.185)...
