I need expert advice.
What is the difference between 2611xm router and cisco1841 router?
I've read a few documents and what I know so far is that they are the same, 2WIC slots, 2 fast eth etc.
Any one have any experience using both? Please let me know the major difference.

1841 is an ISR router.. you can have multiple services like security, wireless, routing, switching etc on the same router... 2600's are EOS now, so you gotta buy a 1841 or a 2800 router depending on ur requirement.. one note - 1800 routers do not support voice, so if you are looking at voice, u need to buy a 2800 router.. performance is also good in a 1841 router and is meant for branch office networks...
hope this helps.. all the best.. rate replies if found useful..

2600 series routers can do security, switching , voip and routing too. i dont knnow about wireless.
I have 2600 routers and im planning to study for the new ccnp. Do i need to buy new routers? can i still use 2600? which model is the cheapest if i want to go for ISR series, and of course support voip, security, routing and switching...in other words - supporting the new ccnp exams.
thanks in advance,
