4006 ios upgrade

Hi i have a  WS-C4006

switch.It has

IOSCAT

{System Bootstrap Version: 5.4(1)}.I need to upgrade CATIOS in to ciscoIOS.Can anybody give me the steps???

Hello Weerakoo69ba,

I think you can only upgrade to a newer catos image.

for example one of my c4006 has been upgraded to be able to support linecards WS-4548

we have installed the 8.4(11)GLX

there is a conversion procedure from CatOS to IOS  for C6500 but not for C4006 as far as I know

Guiseppe's right.  WS-X4013 will only run at CatOS.  You need the WS-X4013+ to run Cisco IOS.

Hello Weerakoo69ba,

check with sh module what kind of supervisor you have as noted by Leo.

Leo: the sh module was from my device we don't know the original poster what supervisor has in his chassis

yes you can  only upgrade to last CatOS as we did in our device. this specific supervisor model supports only catos

HI Team,

even i am running the IOS "cat4000-k9.8-4-11-GLX.bin" on the device WS-c4506.......

I am trying to initiate a command "set port broadcast  " but unable to execute the same......

can anybody suggest any alternate command ?
