7206VXR with NPE-G2(2GB)RAM - SA-VAM2+ not working

Hi all,

we have a Cisco7206VXR with NPE-G2 2 GB RAM 256 MB FLASH.

Now there is a need of a SA-VAM2+ Module.But the Module is after Booting not "enable" and the Mesage appear:

%PA-3-NOTSUPPORTED: PA in slot2 (Unknown (type 1200)) is not supported on this image.

           Please issue "show diag" in fully loaded IOS image

           to get the PA's information and verify if it is supported

           by this image, a newer version may be needed.

The Image is :

C7200P-IPBASE-M

Version 15.2(4)S3

c7200p-ipbase-mz.152-4.S3

Through search i find a hint to Image 12.4(4)XD. BUt this Image is not in the Download from Cisco

So i test it with: c7200p-ipbasek9-mz.124-24.T8

But the same Error

The Bootloader has no Problem with the Card.

System Bootstrap, Version 12.4(12.2r)T

Can someone help me ?

I have checked the Feature Navigator on the Cisco web site and I have found two things that may explain your issue.

First I do not find any version of 15.2S that supports VAM2+. I find that 15.2M does seem to support VAM2+ on 7200.

Second I find that the VAM2+ support is in the advanced enterprise feature set. You are running the IP base feature set. So you would need to upgrade to a different train and to a different fefature set to get support for VAM2+.
