Based on the documentation, we are only allowed to have one hub Master Controller per domain ID? Is there a possibility to have active/active Hub MC's? If there are 2 DC's and the MC at the HQ fails what options do we have besides the Branch MC determining traffic flow?
Thanks

You may already have your answer by now. How I am planning to handle that is by using a 1000v as the Hub MC on a ESXi cluster. That covers hardware failure. I will still have to ensure the configuration is backed up etc.

Hello.
If you want to a backup solution for Hub MC, here are two options:
- run Hub MC as virtual router (with stateful switchover);
- run backup MC, but put the same loopback in IGP with mask /31 (having /32 on primary device) - this is stateless switchover.
PS: if you have only 1 Hub and HubMC fails -> PFR won't optimize any traffic to/from Hub.

Vasilii, I have another discussion that I opened two weeks ago. Would you be able to comment on that one also. If so, thank you.
